When we decide we want something different in our lives, we often want to skip the perceived “hard” part and get on to the “good” stuff, unfortunately life doesn’t work that way. As the title of the book implies, the only way we are able to move through anything is to move through it. And if that’s the case, wouldn’t it benefit us to have the tools to do this in the best way possible?
My guests this week are Kris Girrell and Candace Sjogren, authors of the book Typhoon Honey – The Only Way Out Is Through. This book shows how the science and psychology of transformation actually works, and that it isn’t all woo-woo or magic! While I love woo-woo and magic on this show, I also like the practical side of things as well and this book helped to pull together many concepts in a way I have never heard explained before.
In this episode, we cover how everything is connected, why it feels like the world is working against us when we decide to make a change (it’s not), the difference between change and transformation and how our perception is not reality. The focus of the book is what the authors refer to as “standing in source” and after this interview you will know what that means and how you can apply it in your own life. We also discuss commitments and how they alter our relationship with the rest of the world, training our minds to see abundance (one of my favorite mantras from the book: I am the source of my abundance. I will see it everywhere I look.), and what Typhoon Honey actually means.
If you are looking to fine tune your perception and take your life to the next level, this interview is one you will not want to miss!

More about the book, Typhoon Honey: Starting with a foundation of understanding how we, as physical and psychological beings actually function, Typhoon Honey lays out a path toward becoming the sole and undisputed author of one’s life – called “being the source.” The authors explain, with ample case examples and exercises, how to release limiting self-concepts; understand what reality is and isn’t; and become totally and powerfully accountable in determining your future.
A tour de force in transformational technologies, pulling back the curtain on how those techniques actually work, Typhoon Honey is a must read for anyone who desires to step up to a new level of life and living.
